Cake Pillars

For either traditional royal iced cakes or the modern (soft) sugarpaste iced cakes there are many styles of cake pillar to suit your style. If you are using pillars on sugarpaste iced cakes (many shop bought cakes use this type of icing) you will need to use one of the dowels which run through the pillar and the cake giving extra support.
